    Could I use this?

It's a stairway gate & they have the same gate that's not for the stairs but it's pressure mounted whereas this one has the wall construction things. I can't use pressure mounted on my wall because the molding is weird (I know, we've already tried.) So can I use it in doorways as well as the top of the stairs?

It has a picture of it in just a regular room but that's the same pic they use for their other gate.

My DH's family uses something similar to that to keep their dogs in or out of the kitchen in the doorway. So I don't see why it wouldn't work

Thanks. I'm sure that was an incredibly stupid question but I hate baby gates so much so I've never really dealt with them. DH's grandma is lucky I haven't kicked down the one she has on her stairs every time we visit.
