    Whooping Cough?

    Advertisements
Baby Paisley is slowly about to make her appearance into the world. SIL is dilated at 1 since Monday, and has lost her mucus plug!

My dad and my aunt have been telling me to get the whooping cough shot before we got to Texas to bring Paisley back.

For you ladies who have children, have you had the shot?

I got it in the hospital with my last birth. There is no way that *I* personally, would not get it. My arm hurt for a few days, but it was totally worth reducing the risk of the baby getting it.

Yup, got it the day I gave birth to DS.

"Thank you so much. No matter what, nothing is possible without you behind the scenes bustin heads and takin names. Thank you again. Everything you have done for me means a lot and nothing has gone unnoticed. I love you so much and thank you for saying 'I do.'"

Do you think I should just go now to the health department or get it at the hospital?

If I were you I would just get it now. I don't know if hospitals do it for non-patients, tho it may depend on the hospital, I know our hospital didn't even offer it to DH and he was there the whole time. On top of that, if you do have side affects (sore arm, or nausea, etc) they would/should have stopped by the time you actually get to see your new little one so they aren't bothering you and you can just enjoy it.

Absolutely. If you can get it ahead of time, I would.
