I was changing her diaper and I went to open a new pack and I seriously turned my head for a second and she flipped with the changing pad and fell on the floor she was even buckled in and she took the whole thing with her

We have carpet and she seems okay but gah it's so heartbreaking.

I guess I'd also feel horrible if that were to happen, but... if you look back in this forum, I don't think there is a single baby that hasn't fallen at least once, and freaked out their mom. There is a thread like this one pretty much every other week, and all the babies were always fine. Babies are wily, wiggly little monsters, but they seem to be pretty sturdy too.

My niece fell off a bed at around 10 months-1 year old (don't remember exactly), and managed to break her collarbone. She was not a happy camper for about two weeks, because she had one arm bound to her body and moving hurt... but she weathered it, and is just fine now. And seriously, broken bone fully mended in just two weeks?! I wish I were a baby...

I mean it. I think every damn baby falls eventually...

I change Gav on his alphabet puzzle mat on the floor now because he would do the same thing with how much he rolls around.

Keep an eye on her. Even though she seems OK now. Keep feeling her head/face for bumps or swelling. If any signs of unusual-ness, take her to the ER. . It really only takes 2 seconds. Sadly I've learned that the hard way.

Gosh, how scary for you I'm sure she'll be fine though. The advice the health visitors give where I'm placed at the moment is that once a baby can roll over etc, then always change them on at floor level, because it literally only takes two seconds.

it happens, and you "logically" know it happens, but it's still has to be heartbreaking and terrifying.

I'm sure she's fine; just remember they're parent proof.
Put on your big girl panties and deal with it like a boss.
