    At a loss

    Advertisements
Joseph starts out the night in his own bed, and he wakes up to nurse and comes into mommies bed. Well last few nights, he wants to nurse all night. He throws a FIT the second I take the nipple from him. My poor boobies cannot handle him nursing all night, and it is not a habit we want to start. I just, I have NO clue what to do. I have not been sleeping much, mainly because it is hard for me to get good sleep with a baby in bed, but it is ten times worse since he wants to be latched the entire time.

Only good thing that can come of it is my supply has increased dramatically

I think he may not be feeling good or something, because he just does not want to unlatch. All day yesterday he only wanted to be on the boob. all. day. All. Night.

How old is he? Could he be going through a growth spurt? I'm sorry, that must be exhausting!

Sounds like a growth spurt to me-- maybe his little bones are a bit sore from stretching quickly.

I was thinking growth spurt as well. My son isn't THAT bad where he's on my boob all night but he has definitely been on the boob way more often than he used to. I feel like as soon as he gets off he wants back on again within minutes. It sucks and he wakes up around 4-5 times a night to nurse (usually short periods but still sucks to wake up each time lol) but I'm assuming he's going through a growth spurt.

It could be many things - growth spurt, developmental spurt, teething, just coming down with something, etc...

I know it's so exhausting when you're not getting enough sleep! I hope whatever it is passes quickly for you and your LO

Dh and I both agree, it must be a growth spurt. We inspected his mouth and cannot see any teeth getting ready to come in. And he has been plowing through solids as well.
Today at lunch he was stuffing his mouth as fast as his little hands could go. He ended up with big chipmunk cheeks
