I let her sleep (if it's at night) and gather things together so that I can move us quickly if I need to. I keep the news on, but the volume down so that I can hear any emergency sirens.

I don't have an infant but I'm fairly certain my mom did something similar to the above.

I was a paranoid freak when my girls wre infants. I kept them with me until the warnings were over.

I come from tornado alley so I just let them be until it becomes a threat to us directly.

I laid a bunch of blankets in the tub and sat in there with him and played to keep him calm. I had his crib mattress in there to put on top of us if it got bad. Be safe!

Being from Texas, i was always told when DD was an infant to put her into her infant carseat and buckle her in and keep her close to me incase we need to run. When a tornado was coming our way i would get into the bathtub with her in the carseat and we'd cover our heads with her crib mattress.

A tip that I have learned is to get your kids bike helmets to put on in case of flying debris.

no advice but I am terrified of tornados. Everything will be fine
