    Nothing's soothing him

    Advertisements
Gavin got his 2 month shots today. He was fine up until a few hours ago where he started to get fussy but it wasn't too bad. Now he's just straight up screaming. I sang to him & rocked him for a little bit & he calmed down for about 20 minutes followed but a 5 minute nap where he then woke up screaming again.

I just gave him some medicine so hopefully that'll make it better soon & he'll go to bed but for now absolutely nothing is working anymore. Should we just let him cry in our arms?

"Thank you so much. No matter what, nothing is possible without you behind the scenes bustin heads and takin names. Thank you again. Everything you have done for me means a lot and nothing has gone unnoticed. I love you so much and thank you for saying 'I do.'"

How do his shot sites look? Maybe try like a warm damp wash cloth on the site and alternate with a cool damp one? My girls we would just have to let cry in our arms, which always made me cry as well.

No one is guaranteed happiness. You can pursue it, but if you happen to find success along the way on that road to happiness, Conservatives believe you should not be demonized or penalized for it.

Want to borrow a sleep sheep?

Also-- Maybe try a warm soothing bath?

    Tried it. He hated it.

He's asleep now... poor thing exhausted himself. We'll see how long it lasts though.

As for the bath... that'd make him scream louder, if that's humanly possible.

Nikaia reacted the same way to the two month shots. Eventually we gave her tylenol and she fell asleep and woke up fine. If he is STILL inconsolable after dosing him and sleep I would call the doc, but I bet some sleep will help a lot.

Tylenol definitely should help, that was always my go to when DD was getting her shots.
But I agree with the previous post above, if the nap and meds don't help, call the doc just to make sure he's not having a reaction to them or anything.
    Poor guy

Just wanted to offer since everyone said what I would've. Just make sure you're massaging around his injection sites every time you change him.

Poor little guy and poor mama
