    For those of you who had it postpartum, how did you alleviate it? Mine is gradually getting worse I'm not constipated, just really gassy and gahh my side is letting me know loud and clear

    Also avoid drinking with straws, and eating ice. those both build up gas in your gut.

    I always forget about that

    Oh, and avoid carbonated drinks as well

    Gas-x, no carbonation, no straws, staying upright as much as possible. (For me, sitting hurt like hell. I had to either lay flat or stand up most of the time!)

    Okay turns out I AM constipated fml. I took my stool softeners late (I usually take them at 3-- I tried to switch my schedule around and took them at 8 instead. How long until this shit kicks in (no pun intended )

    Funny, I was going to suggest laying on your side That's what helps me when I get killer gas pains (I never had them before I got preggo).

    Hmm..usually 24-48hrs i'm guessing for the stool softeners... try eating a big bowl of oatmeal or something high in fiber. Also you can try a warm bath (if you're allowed to) or a heating pad on your belly
