    Am I starving him???

    Advertisements
Since about 2 my child has been eating. He is EBF, he eats sleeps about 15 minutes wakes up screaming like he is straving to death. I dont know what to do. I make sure he is burped, his butt is clean, walk around the house, put him in his swing.... Nothing still screaming. Last resort boob. Is he going through another growth spurt? He is still having plunty of wet and poopy diapers.

And on top of that my mother keeps telling me I need to give him cereal in a bottle because he is a "big baby".... Thanks mom your really making me feel like Im starving him.

It's probably a growth spurt so he is cluster feeding. Just feed him whenever he wants, he will slow down once the growth spurt is over.

This. There were days where I'm pretty sure I didn't get out of the recliner except for potty breaks and changing diapers because by the time W was done with a feeding and a change, he'd be ready for another one.

Just stop feeding him when he's done, let him do his thing & feed him again when he wants it. You're not gonna starve him... he'll let you know when he's done & when he wants more.

Just don't give him cereal in a bottle

    What PP's said.

I just want to add that DS was/is a big baby and he was EBF until he was 6 months old, was far from starving, and continued to grow by leaps and bounds. (Hence why I have a 28lb 11 month old ).

You're not starving your little guy. As long as there's sufficient pee/poop diapers, just feed on demand. DS went through a TON of growth spurts the first 6 months. There were times that I literally felt like he never left my boob

I will NOT give him cereal in the bottle, and its killing my mother because she did it with us kids and we turned out just fine
