Waiting until he wakes up to take his temp again

    Advertisements
There is definitely something wrong with DS. He screamed for 3 hours this morning & nothing I did made it any better. And now, we just went through another hour long screaming battle & I just got him to go to sleep. I don't think it's colic since it's not right after he eats but I don't know. His underarm temp was 99 & we were told to take a rectal temp if his underarm temp was ever 99+.

I really hope he's not sick but I know something is up.

sick and/or fussy babies are never fun. I hope he starts feeling better for you.

No one is guaranteed happiness. You can pursue it, but if you happen to find success along the way on that road to happiness, Conservatives believe you should not be demonized or penalized for it.

Is he possibly going through the 'Purple phase'? Crying with out being soothed by being held, rocked, etc. I'll find links for you to see if this may be the situation he's going through.

Explains a little about the phase-
    Crying baby

That could be it It started the other night & was only during the early evenings until today where it's happened morning, afternoon & night. Usually me walking him around the house will quiet him down but he doesn't let me sit down

    Might just be purple crying.
And remember it isn't a temp till 100.4 but at that you need to take him in since he's under two months.

Nope, still having regular BMs & farts a lot
It wasn't too bad this morning... I think it may be mixed in with another growth spurt because this morning he kept wanting more.

He could also be a little warmer due to the screaming if you took it shortly after or during. There were kids at daycare that would do that. I hope if it is something that it's easily fixed so you and the baby can get some good rest and have some nice calm down time.
