    Crib Modification [imgs]

    Advertisements
I noticed last week that Little Miss has been a busy bee in her crib. I lowered it recently because she was attempting to climb out, since she can't do that anymore she is doing this instead...

Yup - those are teeth marks She has been chewing on her front rail. Is there anything I could/should be doing to keep her from nom noming on her crib
    Or just let it be?

It is a convertible crib though so when she gets older and takes it with her all grown up or whenever she complains about it "being chipped up" I am totally teasing her about it being her own doing. I have never known a kiddo to do this. None of my brothers and sisters ever have

Have any of your kiddos ever done this?

They have little plastic covers you can put on the railings to prevent teeth marks

My daughter would just sit there and drool all over the side because she couldn't take chunks out of the wood anymore with her mouth! I've heard of kiddos doing it, totally not a weird thing!!

There are plastic things to put on crib rails so at least she isn't eating the crib my kids never did it though so that Is my only suggestion.

anabelle has taken a liking to chewing on her crib (well, pack in play right now) no way to stop it unless you get the rail covers, but it just protects it, not stops it

At least the PNP is metal so she isn't getting chunks I guess.

Aside from adding a little fiber is chewing on it going to hurt her at all?

It has the fabric that she has destroyed by chewing it to bits lol I don't see how it would hurt her, although I am not sure.
THIS is what I was thinking about

give her a chew toy? That is what I do for my dog when she starts chewing

Oh I didn't even think about the fabric on a PNP

    Aren't kids funny.

I totally just got one of the plastic ones right after I made this thread and she then had a nap. She just woke up. She popped it off too. She was chewing on it IN the crib . Cheeky little girl.

I guess as long as the varnish chips aren't making her sick I should worry about it?

I put a teether in her crib but I guess that isn't enough
