    Confused Boppy tummy time...?

    Advertisements
I'm thinking maybe i don't understand how its suppose to work. I thought i was suppose to put him on his stomach on the boppy. I thought he was suppose to lay there and work on his neck muscles and what not. Every time i put him on it he pushes himself over the side after five minutes. Perhaps i don't understand

We did tummy time on her play mat instead of her Boppy, so we didn't have that problem. Sorry

Our pediatrician mentioned it at our appointment so we figured we would try it today but it was seemingly unsuccessful. He just launches himself with his feet.

I only started doing tummy time in the boppy around 12 weeks. Otherwise we did it on a mat or soft rug. A lot of young babies don't like tummy time so they'll either try to roll themselves over if possible, or get really cranky. DS didn't like tummy time (I couldn't keep him on his belly without screaming for more than 5 minutes) until he was able to easily roll himself back and forth and move forward slightly (around 4-5 months old).

My nephew has been doing it a few minutes at a time since he was 3 days old. He does it on a mat/blanketon the floor.

Meatball does tummy time on his boppy. I prop him up, so his arms are crossed under his chin. He only lasts about 3 minutes before screaming, but atleast it's something!

He loves doing tummy time on his best-ever bear mat! He lays on his tummy, happily, for atleast 15-20 minutes! Maybe you can try it out?

The boppy makes it easier for them to tip over than the flat floor.
