    Breastpump for a broke momma

    Advertisements
I have been using a manual Medela pump mainly because I had bought a cheap electric one, and it was just that. cheap.
I have decided if I am going to EBF (which I have been so far, and don't plan on stopping anytime soon) I really need to be able to pump and start a little supply in my freezer lol

OK anyways, Does anyone haved a suggestion for a good pump (that will work well with huge boobies lol) that is not overly expensive

(I had The First Year miPump, which is the one that would not work worth a lick)

I think there are programs you can look into that will give you a Medela pump.

Ugh, I'm sorry. Yeah, between my job & DH's we don't qualify for anything either. I hope you find a good pump soon!

I hope someone here who is not using their pump, can lend it to you for a while. I know I would've given you my Medela Freestyle if I still had it (returned it due to failed re-lactation). Also, for $65/month the local Hospital or Storkland stores will let you rent their $1200+ super duty Medela. Actually Storkland has a variety to offer, not just the Hospital grade one.

Do you qualify for WIC? I know the WIC office here gives out hospital grade pumps to BFing Mommies.

Not sure what medical your on but some cover breast pumps.

The local hospital rented them for like $30/month (Medela Symphony).

I got a Medela PIS with DS, it was expensive and I ended up quitting.

Also, check Craigslist and Bookoo for your area. Sometimes you can get lucky and I know people are willing to negotiate the price.

We dont qualify. I did before dh got this new job, but his new job (which the pay flow has not started yet, thats our big issue) is over the minimum. I looked it up, I would need to have like or more kids
