    Help Swaddle question/rolling over

    Advertisements
Teddy loves being swaddled, but in the past day or so he has taken to rolling over EVERY SINGLE TIME he's asleep in his crib. He has excellent head and shoulder control, and is never face down (face to the side every time), but it makes me nervous and I'm getting really sick of naps and sleep being cut short by the rolling waking him up. What do I do? Stop swaddling? If so...how?

if he rolls while swaddled you will not to stop swaddling. Have you tried maybe a tester nap on his tummy to see how he does?

That's the plan for today. He's a very spastic baby, always flailing his arms up into his face, so I'm nervous that he won't get much sleep without the swaddle but I also know it has to go Any truth to the "swaddling with one arm out makes the transition easier" theory?

That never worked for mine. my ds switched at 3 months and went straight to belly sleeping (keeps arms from moving too much that way)
DD on the other hand was swaddled till 6 months she was belly napping but wouldn't night time sleep on her tummy till then.

Aubs sleeps swaddled and rolls-- she alternates between tummy sleeping and back sleeping. She's just always turned her head to the side (whether she's on her back or front), so I've never worried about it.
