    pacifiers?

    Advertisements
my daughter hates them ive tried every single one (seriously i have) and she hates them all. should i just not worry about them? she falls asleep just fine without one but i've read the can help prevent sids (that really scares me) and stuff. i'd kinda like her to take one because on the way home the other day she was bawling and i gave her one and it made her happy for all of the 2 nano seconds she kept it in her mouth until she realized no milk was coming out. and she just screamed the whole way home and it made me cry.

how do you get them to take one or get them used to it?

If she doesn't want it I wouldn't push it. Miss never has taken one and is just fine. Sucks her thumb at night. Some just aren't paci kids.

Some kids just don't like them. You can just keep offering them to her..she'll either eventually take one or not.

I'd choose a paci over sucking of the thumb but in all honesty they both are hard to break...I wouldn't push it. DD didn't come off her's until she was a year and that's just because one night we forgot to give it to her.

My child LOVES his, so idk what to tell you. Honestly I wouldn't worry about it, if she doesn't like it then oh well. Plenty of babies do just fine with their thumbs or nothing at all. I won't lie to you and say it isn't convenient though.

Aubs didn't take a paci until she was about 7 weeks old-- she always spit them out. It's been a total Godsend since she's taken it though-- she calms down so much more quickly now, and sleeps more soundly. She'll only take MAMs-- nothing else.

she sucks her thumb sometimes and she always pulls the skin underneath her eyes down and digs in her eyes while sucking it.

Just keep trying! Maybe stick it in there while she is almost asleep and see if she will subconsciously suck. That's a trick to trying to get a baby with latch problems on the boob, maybe it will work for a paci too!
