    Please help...c section recovery

    Advertisements
This is so embarrassing. I'm healing really well...except for gas. It feels like I'm about to fart, but then I can't and the pressure is making my incision hurt. The only thing that helps is dulcolax suppositories.

It's ruining an otherwise great recovery anybody have any experience or advice?

Gas-X was my lifesaver honestly (my doctor recommended it). I think the gas was one of the worst parts of my recovery

Can you try gas drops? They're labeled for infants but have an adult dosage as well. Hope it goes away soon!

My doctor prescribed me Simethicone to take. I've had it prescribed after any abdominal surgery that I've had too.

Gas pains can be so painful. I'm so sorry!

It goes away, but it takes some time! Gas-X and Dulcolax are super awesome, keep taking them as long as you need them! The whole area down there will feel a little odd while it all settles back in where it should be... Having babies is AWESOME!

Thank you guys!!! So just continue with the dulcolax and gas x? I feel silly complaining when it could be worse!

DH and I were just laughing about the fact that neither of us ever thought we'd see the day where I was literally begging God to let me fart AND searching for suppositories at the nearest Walgreens simultaneously

Britt I have to tell you...our boys have matching hair!!

Aww really?! Did you post pics and I missed them?

But yeah, I'd just keep going with the dulcolax and gas-x.
