the more i think about it

i don't know if breastfeeding is right for me. everyone says how convenient it is but to me it seems like more of an inconvenience with my plans after the baby is born. i'd be willing to do it for the 5 or 6 weeks before i go back to work but i'm not so sure after that. i feel bad for feeling like this but the cons outweigh the pros in my situation. i have plans for continuing my education and working and i don't want to be glued to a pump because i've already had no life for the past 7 months and it's been super depressing. i'm not horrible am i?

I'm not a parent but I don't think that's bad. It isn't for everyone, only you can decide what's best for you and your family.

Trust me, you're not a horrible person at all. I have no want to breastfeed (and I have no reason other than I just flat out dont want to lol so at least you have legit reasons!!), and I get crap for it all the time. It's your body, do what you want. You're going to be an amazing mother, regardless.

you have to make a decision that's right for you and your babe. Sometimes it isn't breast feeding. Sometimes it requires adjustment and seeing what works for you.

My Momma couldn't breastfeed me and I was still a healthy, happy babe.

I don't think you're horrible. Breast feeding is not the only option. 5 or 6 weeks is better than none and some women can't breast feed at all and their babies are fine.

Breastfeeding isn't for everyone. You may find that you like it and keep on or you may find that you don't like it and stop. I breastfed Ansley for 6 mons. I liked feeding her, but it made me feel suffocated. It's not for everyone and you shouldn't feel bad if it's not for you. I do encourage you to try it though.

You have to do what's right for you & the baby. There's nothing wrong with choosing not to breastfeed.

Hell, I'm doing it more for selfish reasons in that you lose weight faster.

"Thank you so much. No matter what, nothing is possible without you behind the scenes bustin heads and takin names. Thank you again. Everything you have done for me means a lot and nothing has gone unnoticed. I love you so much and thank you for saying 'I do.'"

I didn't lose weight. I was ALWAYS hungry, especially after feeding her.
