    Toy suggestions

    Advertisements
So DD is very alert in the mornings. Right now she is laying on the couch with me next to her. She does okay for a little while and then she gets upset if I am not paying attention to her. I start shaking her rattle so that she can watch it but if I put it down she will get upset again a few minutes later.

Anyone have any suggestions for some hands-free toys to pre-occupy her? She will go in her swing for a little while but get upset again. I also need to get something to hang on the side of her mini-crib for her to watch. I've seen toys like those in the stores. Anyone have a good suggestion for one of those as well. TIA

I have one of those floor toy things but I dont know if she is quite old enough for it yet. She will be 5 weeks tomorrow.

They have those little light and sound things to put on a crib. Some babies love it..some just aren't interested.

DD likes hers more now that she's older than she did when she was little bitty.

I had this one you can use it with two, or four soild sides. WHen dd was really little we put up all four sides and it kept her from accidently rolling off the mat

Landon's been playing with his since he was a week old He loves that thing

You could also give something like these a try. They're rattles that go around their wrists

Oh, we hang them on her Baby Neptune floor mat

Wyatt loved the toys with the different textures and sounds, like THIS when he was that little. Actually, he still loves those kinds of toys. Like everyone else suggested, the playmat was great. He also played in his bouncer that had a toy bar. He also enjoyed watching Baby Einsteins. He got to watch one half-hour everyday and that's what he did while I showered/got dressed/ate breakfast/etc.
