    Wisdom teeth

    Advertisements
So getting my wisdom teeth out on the 28th. I'm freaking out about that in it self, but more so about breastfeeding.
Rylee doesn't take a bottle well from dh. So that's stressful in its self. I can take percacet (sp) and breastfeed but I'm worried about about it making her too drowsy.
She won't take formula (hot or cold) so it has to be breastmilk. Chowing down on oatmeal a few times a day now (just a bowl or two a day gives me an over supply! ) just trying to up my stock pile incase pills make me too out of it to feed rylee.
Also the fun part will be teaching dh how to handle breastmilk and clean my pumping gear!

Ugh, that really sucks. I had my wisdom teeth out in high school and was one of the lucky ones to only be in enough pain to take tylenol to manage it. Hopefully you'll be lucky, too I had a root canal done in November and the first night was AWFUL. I was on Tylenol with codeine and it was a rough night. Wyatt also doesn't like bottles at all if I'm around. He'll only take them from our sitter. I pumped a bunch the days beforehand but he wouldn't take it

I'm hoping Rylee cooperates and DH does well with the bottles, too

Good thing is that the surgery doesn't take long.
I had a surgery when DD was about 5MO and she would NOT take a bottle from anyone! I waited about 3 hours after getting home before I nursed her.
However; you can nurse just as soon as you are awake.
The percacet may make him drowsy but it's worth it to take it. Wisdom teeth hurt!
Just make sure someone watches him for any other reactions but you should both be fine. If he'll take bottles from someone else maybe have a friend come help your DH while you're in surgery.

I only ever took a half of a percocet when I had mine out and probably didn't even need that.

    I'm a whimp with pain
A friend is babysitting for us so dh doesn't have to have them with him at the dental clinic. That would just be no good! Two kids in a waiting room for two hours
