I'm convinced that I found the reason for my hyperemesis......

My daughter is the Queen of vomit/spit up

    It only makes sense.

How often did/does yours spit up? I know it's normal and not something to worry about right away, just curious.

Nikaia spit up a lot. Not to the point where she spit up everything she ate, or where it bothered her or caused any kind of weight loss, but she did spit up daily, more than once.

Kalista has spit up maybe 5 times. Maybe. Two of them were EPIC though.

Does it seem to be hurting her at all? It's only a problem if it causes her issues like pain or weight loss. Otherwise, babies puke. It's one of those things they tend to excel at.

She doesn't seem to be upset about it, but it's been after every feeding today. My milk came in though so I'm attributing it to the change from colostrum to milk? Makes sense in my head. She has a doctors appointment today and I'm going to ask for things to look out for in case we need to do something about it.

Aubs used to spit up entire feedings. It was super gross. Now, she barely spits up at all.

Do you have a quick let down? I have fed Kalista too fast becuse my let down was crazy and it all came right back up again once she was done. Those are the two EPIC pukefests we have had to date.

Oh good so there is hope!

She spit up what had to have been her entire last feeding. I feel her pain, but she handles it like a champ. Puke, onto the next thing. Goofy kid.

Well, since I don't have anything to compare it to, I'm not really sure. I mean, if I express myself it seems fast, and she has definitely got some jaw strength so she might be taking in too much too fast.

The only experience I've had with pukey babies is a baby with acid reflux. He was formula fed. Formula smells awful going down and ten times worse coming back up.

Landon never spit up until he about 6 weeks. Then he started spitting up several times a day. We learned that he had acid reflux though He literally threw up almost every feeding for an entire week before we got a pediatrician to treat it for us. Now, he usually spits up a little once a day, if that. It's mostly just lots of drool these days
