    Need swimsuits?
I am planning on having these babies swimming this summer, I am honestly not planning on even trying to find a little boy suit but.... Does my baby girl NEED a suit, or can she just wear a swim butt?

I dont think they per-say need a swim suit but its added sun protection for them. When I lived in Hawaii my DD wore one everytime we went swimming. I would buy those swimming t-shirts too for added protection.

when it comes to sun protection i dont think you can have enough. With DS(7) and DD(almost 2) We always put sunscreen and then a swim shirt over. And a hat for DD.

See, I get the added sun protection, but we "swim" on a shaded river.

I guess I will look for something just in case we end up somewhere with sun

Yes, I'd say for sun protection! But with my girls the little suits were so cute. I also found 110 spf banana boat and my kids were PASTY all summer We live in MI so I guess in serious extreme heat the more you cover the better

My kids have always worn them, whether they were 3 months old or older.

When the kids were babies/toddlers I always bought their swimsuits at Old Navy. They have the cutest little things! Now that they are much older, 12 & 10, I get DS's swim trunks & rashguard from Old Navy. DD's swimsuits (one pieces or skirts with rashguards) from Gymboree or The Children's Place. I already bought her 2 new ones for Gymboree that are precious!
