    Possible TMI ... baby poo

    Advertisements
So they gave me a paper with pictures as to what baby's BM's should look like.. but I think we threw it away
I am breast feeding. Most of DS' diapers have had a yellow BM which I remember them saying is what it should be. But tonight it was green is this ok? I've looked online, and I've read some things saying he could be getting to much foremilk.. but I've also read some things that could be an allergic reaction? Our clinic is closed until Monday. I will call and ask then, but is this normal? Is it ok for me to wait until Monday to talk to someone?

I can't 100% remember since my babies are a lost 2 and 3 but I think they have had green BMs too when they were newborns and they are fine

You are momma so if you are worried call his doctor or you should be able to call the hospital and talk to a nurse.

That's totally normal unless there's blood or it's unusually hard. As long as he's having dirty and wet diapers, I wouldn't worry about it, Wyatt's poo still changes colors and I definitely remember it being green sometimes.

I also know if baby is getting too much foremilk it will be kind of "frothy"
I would honestly not worry about it, dd has green poo sometimes

Michaela's ped said green may be an indicator of not digesting fully. He also said not to worry about it.

And why NOBODY said anything about those "solid food diapers" until after we had already fed 'em to her...!

Thanks everyone!!! I really appreciate it! Guess I'm just a paranoid new mommy I appreciate your advice and reassurance! I've been feeding longer on the same side before switching.. and his diapers have been back to normal. But again for your help!
