    Car Seat-- PLEASE help!!!

    Advertisements
    Okay ladies.

So I don't really want any advice or feedback about whether this is the right or wrong car seat, or which car seat would be better, so please don't reply with that.

What I am looking for is help figuring out how to remove the seat cover (to wash) and therefore the base! I cannot remove the stupid base!!! There's a metal bar that is securely holding it on, and the stupid instruction manual says to push on the "tab". What TAB?!

And if they mean the white plastic end of the bar, it's a solid plastic circle that doesn't move anywhere. So...anyways. Yes. I need help, especially with removing the base. If anyone has had or worked with this car seat, could you please help me?

I've spent the last few hours trying to remove it. Please please please help!!!

what seat is it? You also need to check your manual before you wash it to make sure you can wash it. Some car seats do not allow covers to be washed. Also you can not wash the harness straps in the washing machine. Most say you can use a sponge and clean it that way but if you get them soaked with water, it weakens them and puts your child at risk if you were to be in a crash.

There should be little elastic bands and hooks on the back.... If I remember correctly. I got that one for DS a while ago before he switched to just a booster seat.

AH! Reread your post... there should be a bar that you can push underneath I think... It's been a while. I would look for writing on the back... It should have writing on the plastic kind of giving instructions.

I wish I could bust my old one out to help!

Ah.. I used to have that seat with DS but I cant remember how to get the base off.. it's a pain.. See if this helps How to Remove the Cover From a Cosco Alpha Omega Elite Car Seat | eHow.com

Just wanted to tell you that this seat wont be the only one you need.. in about 2 years, depending on what the weight limit is, you will probably need to buy another seat. These also make horrible boosters too. Just letting you know that
