I have a large knot under the skin where my incision is. Anyone know what that could be from?

I didn't have a c-section, but everything I've read says it could be scar tissue. Doesn't sound too out of the ordinary considering they had to cut through skin, muscle and tissue to get into the womb. It also says it should diminish over time. If it's painful, you may wanna call the doc.

Hope this helped. I just googled it.. maybe do the same? See if you can find something more specific...

It may just be scar tissue but keep an eye on it. I felt what seemed like about the size of a lima bean. 1yr later I have a hernia that needs repair. Just keep an eye on it. Also if it bothers you, you should go it. Also you might try rubbing it to help break down the tissue. I had to do that with a scar on my leg.

    I had a c-section about 6 weeks ago.
I had the same kind of knots, when i asked my dr she said that as long as it is like ON the incision line it is nothing to worry about. If it is alot above or below the incision I would call your dr, if its not I would assume it is just scar tissue

It sounds just like scar tissue but if it continues to grow I would definitely call your dr.

Probably scar tissue. But if it continues to grow or hurt, call your doc. There could be the possibility of an infected fluid collection
