    Favorite nursing/breast pads?

    Advertisements
I have one box of the Lansinoh disposables and one box of Nuk disposables and then I have 2 sets of the free re-useable ones that came with the udder covers. I washed the re-useables and they seem really...bunchy. Not sure if it's because they were free or if that's how they all are.

I know nothing about this stuff, so can someone please share your favorite nursing pads (preferably re-useable)? If you can provide the brand, fabric and website or store to buy them that would be great.

Also, any idea how many "sets" of re-useables I will need? I was think 4 total should do the trick, but again, I have no clue.

I love lansinoh ones for night time. And love nuk for day time caus i like to change them alot to avoid an infection. (like last time.. learned my lesson... )
This time once my production settles out around 2-4 months I'm going to get washable ones for night. I stopped having o use pads most of the time around 4 months.

Uhmm, I can tell you which ones I DON'T like.

The Evenflo Select Comfort nursing pads are itchy as hell... which I found out after ordering 6 boxes, thinking they were the regular style . The cheaper ones are much more comfortable, but they're white on both sides (the Select Comfort ones are printed on the waterproof side)... so I always ended up putting the wrong side down and leaking all over the place.

If you find good, cheap breast pads, let me know.

Lasinoh, hands down. It is all I will ever use.
I leaked through every other brand I ever tried (I swear with both kids I had enough milk to nourish an entire third world country)
I never found a decent reusable. They lasted less than an hour.

I have seriously been thinking about going to the reusable pads. I have not been leaking near at all anymore

I love my Nuk washables. They come in boxes of six. I wash mine by hand with dish soap then toss them in the dryer with Wyatt's clothes. The only times I leak through is when I'm wearing my cheap sports bra that doesn't support so the girls sag beneath the pad. I found these at Target and our NEX carries them.

I use hemp re-useables. I think I might have bought them from cottonbabies.com or something. They are easy to find. I think the brand is Hemp babies. Anyway, I have four pairs. I use one set at night, take them out in the morning and let them dry through the day. I can use them for few nights in a row that way. I only use one pair a day because they are super absorbent and I have never had a problem with them getting too wet.
