    Gripe Water?

    Advertisements
Lily has a lot of tummy troubles. I've tried switching to a lactose free formula, sensitive formula, and have finally settled with Similac- Fussiness and Gas.

I tried giving her gas drops, but they seemed to make no difference. She seems to be a little colic as well. My pediatrician has "never heard of gripe water", but it has been recommended to me several times. I bought some by Little Tummy's but haven't used it yet.

    Anyone else use it?

Funny how pediatricians are so different. Mine suggested gripe water!

What kind of tummy troubles is she having??

I think gripe water is worth a try, as I don't feel that it's harmful.

A lot of gas. I burp her every ounce she drinks (she drinks around 4 a feeding). But she still will tense up and SCREAM right in the middle of a bottle, and I know its gas, and I know it hurts

And shockingly, she is starting to cut a tooth. At 8 weeks old
I heard that it can help with that as well, since she doesn't really know what to do with a teething ring yet.

Kaia did well with gripe water for a while. I think it depended on what was causing her tummy problems. Definitely worth a try. We used the Little Tummy's stuff, too.

I used some, not little tummies brand but something I found at a store. It seemed to help a little but when it came down to it, the screaming was from teething pain more than gas. Good luck mama!

Gripe water made no difference for Addison's tummy trouble, but hers was from not burping. Her peditrician actually recommened the mylocon drops for us to use. She used those for about a month or so and is perfectly fine now .

Definitely worth a try though; just don't overdue it if it isn't helping.
