    Won't take a bottle

    Advertisements
Ds is still refusing bottles. I don't know what to do! Won't take breast milk or even juice!!
Tried every bottle we have and two types of sippys.
Anyone have any wisdom for me? I wanna go on a freaking date. And go on this one date marrage class. And be able to drive but can't take the class with ds in tow.

    Mac,
I wish I had more advice for you on this. He just is not a bottle baby right now... You'll get through this and so will he. and I hope you get your date and get to go to the class.

Have you tried getting other people to do it for you? My son also would not take a bottle for me or dh but he took one occassionally in the church nursery for his teacher there filled with breast milk while I took a couples class. She must of been a saint because he wouldn't take it for anyone else. lol

That is great you got him to drink some Hopefully that keeps up another thing that we did with our daughter that was a preemie was feeding with a syringe to start and then eventually moved on to the bottle, but it sounds like you may have got it. lol

My oldest never took a bottle when I attempted to introduce one to her. We introduced the straw sippy cup when she was around 4.5 months old. She took to it immediately. Dd2 only took a bottle a few times in the first few weeks. We introduced the straw sippy around 5 months or so. They rarely used them, but it was nice knowing they'd take something.

He was introducted to the bottle at two weeks on and off. I guess just so many changes throw him off plus teething. He's settling down now a little bit anyway. Still praying he sleeps through the night again one night soon
