    Types of Bottles

    Advertisements
I'm COMPLETELY in the dark about the many different types of bottles there are. Which ones do you suggest? My SIL is expecting and less fortunate so I'm trying to buy in bulk for her. SHE doesn't even know what type/style of bottels are best so I thought y'all would know some good options.

    Thanks in advance

Depends on whether she plans to breastfeed. Some bottles are better at preserving the breastfeeding relationship than others.

    We use Born Free bottles.

I personally like the Avent bottles. Everyone says horrible things about them but I had never had any issues with them and mine never leaked.
I did try the drop ins at first but i disliked them bc my son seemed to have a hard time getting much of anything out of them. He would be finished feeding (I still believe he just gave up) and when the bag returned to its normal shape, it was still half full. I just felt like all the contents got stuck in the creases *but* thats just my experience.
What I also liked about the Avent bottles is that when your child transitions from bottle to sippy, the nipples are interchangeable.
Each baby is different though! She may have to try a few different ones until she finds what works for her baby.

Honestly, when I went to do my baby registry (I think I was about 16 weeks pregnant), I took one look at the WALL of baby bottles at Babies R Us, and burst into tears. It's pretty overwhelming.

I don't really have any experience with bottles, so we just scanned a bunch of different kinds. My friends used the NUK bottles, and they're very cute too!

get her a bunch of differnt types of bottles! you never know what the baby will use.
Nuk are good for breastfeeding, but my DS hates them (and he's breastfed lol)
I love drop ins right now. all you have to clean is the nipple.
Avent is great, avent paci's are DS favorite.
    I also love soothies bottles.
I also use medela bottles cause they came with my pump.

I really liked the Playtex drop-ins, too. The trick to not getting the milk caught in the creases, is that you have to kind of push the bag as it empties, to force the milk up to the nipple. We had one bottle that had a little sliding tray as the bottom that made that really easy. It was green.
It's true I must be going, but I swear I won't be long
