My son's bled as it was starting to fall off. I wasn't getting down deep enough around the cord with the alcohol wipe so it wasn't as dried out as it needed to be. It turned out fine.

    You're probably just being worried.

If it's getting ready to fall off, there might be a little blood where it's breaking away.
It's true I must be going, but I swear I won't be long

It's most likely just that it's falling off and not dried out well.

If there was an infection, the area around his belly button would most likely be bright red and swollen, or it would have a funny smell.

Did they tell you to use alcohol to dry it out and help it along?

I know some places have started to say not to because it can dry out the skin on the tummy, too, and make little bellies itch.

I listen to my mom over the doctors, too. But at least you have a valid reason for it when they scowl at you.

Dont tell Balboa, but because they label all their drawers, I ganked a bunch of the alcohol wipes they use! (teeheheh)

You're just worrying :] The worst is when it's completely off and then it gets all gross and scab like.. like you know the color a scab turns when it's wet & soggy (yellowish white--eww?) icky gross.

dont worry! the blood stained clothes are almost over!

are you using side snap onesies? we bought 2 packs of the gerber side snap onesies and rotated them until the stump fell off. it's easiest b/c you're not pulling over the stump.
