ah! it broke. i need to pump!
the motor is running, but there is no suction. i tapped it a few times to see if it would kick on, and nothing! a new one is like $300!!!!! and i need it now, i can't wait for some sort of warranty item to ship in the mail.

it's a lansinoh and i paid $150. if i have to buy a new one, i'm not buying this one again, i'm going to get the medela pricey shit.

    Call the manufacturer

I had this happen on my pump once. They shipped me a brand new one next day air. They understand the importance of these items. If they can't ship it immediatly rent one for a week. That would be cheaper than buying a new one.

Do you have a LC? Maybe they can help you get a hold of one?

I had the same pump as you and it did the same thing. I got about 4 months of use out of it. I'm so sorry.

i called the manufacturer and they told me to change the valves. i told them i've been using it 3+ times a day, I know how it works, and it's NOT the valves. The valves were working just fine hours before the motor broke. They told me to change them anyway

when i got home, i was able to get it working again but i'm highly considering getting a medela anyway. i depend on pumping too much to have something that randomly breaks down on me.

if the motor is running but there's no suction, i'd think there's a leak...be it in the hose, the little piece that allows milk into the collection container, etc. the latter was why mine lost suction once. i replaced the little rubber piece and it worked again. this is what the piece looks like on mine:

i have an ameda purely yours

    good luck!

yes, that is the valve that they told me to replace. but that's not the problem. there's definitely something wrong with the motor. when i got it home, it turned on, with no suction, then i heard a "click" in the motor and suddenly the suction came back on.
