    Question Mother's Milk tea

    Advertisements
I know this has been mentioned in many threads! But i want to know from those who have used it:

    1. does it really work?
    2. how long until i see a difference?
    3. if i drink it and my milk becomes plentiful, can i stop drinking it or will it drop again?
    4. any side effects?

i usually have a pentiful supply, but while pumping at work, i'm noticing a slow drop. i can't pump any more than i already do during the work day.

when i drank it, i also took fenugreek supplements. it helped to improve my supply a little bit but not drastically. i think my whole issue was that i was working full-time at that point in time so the pumping during an 8 hr. day took a toll on my supply. make sure to put some honey in the tea as it steaps because it is very bitter! lol. or atleast it was for me.

I've been drinking it for 3 days and I think I notice a slight increase in my supply.

You're supposed to drink 3 - 5 cups a day. I've been drinking 3. The only way I can drink it is with sweatener and a little milk.

I would brew it in the morning, and then drink it throughout the day, by the end of the day I was drinking it iced. I couldn't do fenugreek supplements because they made me smell like maple syrup But, I also made sure to eat a bowl of oatmeal in the morning, and have a dark ale at night.

Are you steeping it for the full 10 minutes covered?

For those of you who make batches of it. How do you make it? Tell me what should I do to make it in more quantities.
I just boil water and pour it in my coffee mug with a bag of tea. Let it sit there for a while 10+ minutes and then sweeten it and drink it but how do you make more? more bags? same bag?

Jaimie, I honestly haven't seem any big changes. I drink it cause is the only tea I feel safe drinking and I like the taste of it.

. It says that making it properly (steeping for 10 minutes covered) will make it most effective.

If you make a pot, use two bags per kettle. I boiled the water on the stove and made it in my tea pot. I would drink it when it was nice and dark. So it probably sat there for 15 minutes or so. A little tea goes a long way.
