    treating a runny nose

    Advertisements
Matt's coming down with a cold. He's coughing a little but hardly at all. He is sneezing a lot and his nose is running like crazy. There is no color to it at all so I don't think it's anything more than a cold. Is there anything I can give him to help with the runny nose? He's having a really hard time sleeping right now.

i would set up the humidifier maybe. get some saline drops or spray. they thin out the mucus. then maybe just before use the nose sucker thingy. you could try the vick vapor plug. but other than that i don't think there is much you can do

I use Little noses. You can find it at walmart. Works great. DS had a runny nose and used that a few times and now he is fine We also had a humidifier in his bedroom.

well he finally fell back to sleep but if he wakes up again, I'll try those things. I have saline drops but I always just used them when he was stopped up. He never gets a runny nose. Thanks for the advice!

If it's constant, it might be allergies?

Wesson is on a 1/2 teaspoon of Zyrtec due to the fall allergies!

Definitely stay away from the saline drops since he is draining....don't want to dry his little nose out too much.
