"Soothies" for breastfeeding moms - New Moms

I just wanted to give these things two HUGE thumbs up. Whoever made them should be a freaking billionaire! These are, BY FAR, the best things I have ever come across for breastfeeding mamas. Hunter had some latching issues for the first day or two and left my nipples bleeding, cracked and throbbing so bad I could barely stand to let my bra or shirt touch them. Latching him and letting him feed was so painful I could have cried. So, I had the lactation consultant come in and help us with his latch and she also brought me some of these soothies things. Let me tell you- INSTANT RELIEF. Not only did it relieve the pain in between feedings but it somehow made latching and feeding not even hurt! I've only been using them for about 24 hours and my nipples are already healing up.

They are reusable so you can wear them for at least a few days, but they do eventually wear out. I would suggest every breastfeeding mama stock up with at least one pair just to have on hand in case you have some pain/latching problems. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommended by me!

I don't know if you tried the lansinoah cream but I did and it didn't help much at all. I was really disappointed after hearing good things about that cream stuff. These soothies things WORK.

Yep, I tried the cream (the hospital had some) and wasn't too impressed either.

they are awesome! but just keep thinking in a week or so the pain will be gone and it will be so much easier to BF!

Thanks for that link!!! The pain was one of my reasons for quitting BFing!! Hopefully next time with those I can do it longer!
