Question about teething... - New Moms

Giovanni keeps chewing on his fingers and I've noticed everytime he does he takes his fingers to the sides and all the day to the back in his mouth, he does the same with my breast when I'm feeding him and with my finger when I stick it in his mouth. The nurse practitioner told me he is teething so now I'm wondering if he might be getting first other teeth that are not the front ones

I would think if the side that's bugging him is the middle front that's where he would be chewing no?

or this is what they do no matter which tooth is coming?

alexis was teething for about 8months before she even popped a tooth threw, and it was the bottom ones. even now, at 15 months, she only has 5 teeth and 2 molars. basically, alexis would just gnaw on her hands all day.. and put them everywhere.

My sister just told me when they teeth their whole gums hurt so that might be why

My kids always did that too. I think their whole gums are sensitive. Have you tried giving him a cool teething ring? Also, I used to give my little ones baby Tylenol at night to help soothe them.

Carter puts his whole hand in his mouth, and occasionally gags himself. Hes got his 2 bottom teeth and his top 2 are working their way out and he still puts his hands all the way back.

Because everytime I open his mouth to get a picture of his teeth he sticks his tongue out!!

Sara has started doing the same thing. Teething can be very miserable and even make their ears hurt.
