So I just spend the day with Nikolai screaming. The only thing that calmed the screams was eating. I would latch him to the breast and he would eat. Constantly sucking and swallowing. I KNOW he is eating because my breasts "deflate." The second I remove my breast he SCREAMS till i put my breast back in his mouth. He just spent the whole day on mybreast eating. What do I do? Someone help!!

it's very possible he is either using you as a pacifier or he's hitting a growth spurt. i know there were times with DS when it felt like he was latched 24/7 but as with most things....this too shall pass. if you aren' apposed to pacifiers you could try one just to see if it's the sucking he wants, not necessarily to eat.

Is he falling asleep on the breast, is he going through a spurt? or is it just a comfort?

Probably a growth spurt. Let him nurse, he is making sure to increase your milk supply.

I say use it as an excuse to sit and watch tv all day!

Let him nurse as much as he wants.

i dont thnk its a growth spurt. He hasnt slept all day.Even put himin his room alone to try to get him to sleep... Now after 2oz of formula he sorta looks tierd but stillscreaming like he is hungry
