Formula questions - New Moms

DH and I are looking at switching to formula in the next couple of months. Breast feeding is just taking a beating on my body. Soo

How did you choose a formula?

and

Can you just switch formula for whatever you have a coupon for or do you have to stick with one kind?

best to stick with one kind.. ask your doctor what kind they recomend to start normally enfamil or similac advanced

I wouldn't switch back and forth, just sign up for coupons from whichever kind you use. We used Enfamil Lipil.

Enfamil is good stuff..... I know loads of kids who used the target brand and they are smart and healthy.

The formula we're on is the formula dh picked when he went to the store one night out of desperation because our little one was never ever full! We've stuck with it ever since because I'd heard that switching is bad. That, plus I have tried feeding him a free sample of a rival brand and he hated it!

Switching made Kylee constipated.. It was a miserable couple of days, so I do NOT recommend it. We chose Enfamil because it's what they started on her in the hospital when she lost too much weight.

We use good start, cause that's what we get from WIC. Once you chose a kind, it's best to stick with it.

We use Enfamil (mainly because WIC) based formula. But for Lil Kim, it's Gentlease right now, we will switch her to regular Enfamil shortly tho', once she's past the gassy stage.

We used that for a while.. It didn't work for Kylee

We had to switch her to the AR one for her tummy problems.

We use generic. It has all the same important stuff as other formulas. We don't qualify for WIC and it saves us probably $75 month or so. We buy the big ones from Sams... but most the generics are made in the same warehouse so we can buy Walmart or Target too and its the same exact formula. We use the Gentle stuff because the normal stuff was making Bella so constipated. She's done fine on generic.
