    Cutting teeth..

    Advertisements
How can you relieve your baby when hes cutting teeth? How old was your baby when s/he started to cut teeth?

Maddox has been drooling a lot and chewing on his fists. I felt and looked at his gums and hes starting to cut a tooth on the top.. Looks like his "fangs"..

Is it normal to cut teeth this young?

That doesn't neccesarily mean he's teething. Matt has had two "buldges" on his gums since he was a few months old. He's even started cutting teeth and those haven't come through. He's been chewing on his hands and drooling since he was 2 months. He didn't cut his first tooth until he was 8 1/2 months.

I use the teething tablets for Emma...I used baby orajel but I tried it on myself and will never again do that to my daughter again. Cold wash rags work too. Also those chewy toys..they say not to put them in the freezer but Emma's doctor didn't see a risk to it being frozen and they stay colder obviously after being frozen.

Emma start drooling and chewing on her fists around that age. He may not be teething. Emma didn't even get a first tooth until 6 months old

Carter got his first 2 teeth about a month ago. So like, 4 months. The thing that helped the most was teething tabs.

What's bad about the Orajel? And how well do the teething tablets actually work? With my other kids nothing seemed to work, so I always used Tylenol to help with the pain when I couldn't comfort them with anything else.

I am not sure if Jace is teething. I run his gums but do not feel anything. But he sure is unhappy, and loves for me to rub his gums. I thought it was a growth spurt, but he has cried for 2 weeks straight and he is nursing so much that I'm shooting blanks.

Teething tablets! They are lifesavers. You can get them at cvs or walgreens.

DS has seemed to be on & off teething (even his Dr. is amazed he has no teeth yet!) so I have no really good suggestions. When he has been going through times of swollen gums I have found that teething tablets work during the day and oragel at night.
