Try giving him a little mineral oil, it has no taste or smell and is clear so he won't even know it is there. That helped DD when she got that way. Don't give him too much or he will be explosive!

You can get it at any store (walmart, target, walgreens) it is usually by the pharmacy. I can't think of anything, but applejuice may be able to help him a little.

Hes never had juice before. Is 5 months okay for juice? I have pasteurized apple juice in the fridge that doesnt have anything added to it.

    What about water?

    Sorry for the billion questions.

Try some pear juice. It is natural. I would do that or just a bit of water first before anything else.

If you want something RIGHT NOW that you don't have to go buy, the apple juice you have, watered down, should be fine. He's old enough to have a little. No more than 2 ozs I'd say .
