Exclamation H1N1 nasal spray vac and breastfeeding

    FYI.........
If you are breastfeeding and planning on getting an H1N1 vac remember to get the shot and not the spray. When I was getting my vac my husband had to point out, to the techs, giving the vac that I was breastfeeding. They said I was unable to get the nasal spay and I had to get the shot

IDK he had the spray at my nose right when my husband blurted "she's breastfeeding". It didn't say anything on the forms we were given. I guess its because its the live virus and the shot isn't So they treat breastfeeding mom as if their still pregnant.

Are you pregnant? Are you breastfeeding? I was looking forward to not having to get a shot but this kid wont stop feeding from me.

Pregnant, bf, and children under 6 months no mist!! They should be asking that.

    Correct.

You also cannot get it if you have any chronic medical conditions.

What about the father? Can they still get the mist? I mean I wonder since it says children under six months I'm guessing breastfeeding or not

I'm going to keep looking. I was wrong. BF isn't that big of a deal I guess.

I always ask for the shot anyways.
