Emi is almost 9 months, and isnt full on crawling, standing up. she pulls herself up in her crib and on tables and stuff. but thats about it.

i feel like maybe im giving her too much walker time.

    Any ideas?

I'd stop putting her in the walker. Allowing a baby to walk before they can crawl causes them to develop the wrong muscles at the wrong time. In fact, it is recommended that you don't use a walker at all until they are starting to walk anyway.

My step-nephew never crawled. He went straight from sitting up to pullin up and standing up and then walking. He scooted a little, but never full on crawled. ANd he's a perfectly fine, healthy, smart boy who is now 7. Some kids jsut never crawl, at least he didn't

It's hard to practice cruising, if she's in a stationary walker. Ethan had an exersaucer, but it moved side-to-side.

My daughter never really crawled. She pulled up on stuff. One day she just started walking. They all do things in their own time. I don't think there is anything wrong.

Caleb isn't 'really' crawling either. He does this butt scoot thing where he has one knee down and one foot down then scoots on his butt.

I'm sure she's fine - you aren't doing anything wrong. Like some of the others suggested, give her more time out of the apparatuses - more floor time to get moving around. She'll develop in her own time.

Andrew didn't crawl either and he is fine... it won't kill her to skip it and develop more slowly, and it might have nothing to do with her walker... but taking the walker away and letting her progress more naturally might help her progress faster. Watching other babies will help too.

It is true that some kids never crawl
My daughter barely crawled....she wanted to pull up and cruise along while holding on to things. She has developed very well

I would take away the walker though so that you are giving her every oppurtunity to crawl
