    to crib comforters?

all the cute bedding sets come with one, but do you ever actually use it, or is it just for decor? i feel silly asking, but i am truely wondering...

I always figured it for decor. or for belly time

Its not really safe to put a big comforter like that in bed with an infant. With DD I used warm footed jammies and a thin blanket securely tucked in around the mattress and up to her rib cage.

I have yet to use mine. Just PJ's with feet in them and a receiving blanket tucked in.

I'm sure when they are toddlers they can use them but by that time I've always wanted to redo their bedrooms

But they are usually pretty bulky for infants. and even some toddlers.

Sami didn't go into a toddler bed, she went straight into a twin. And I got a twin bedding set for her. She rarely used the blanket. She sweats a lot at night so I just bought her a thin throw blanket that she loves and is small enough for her to carry and move around if it falls off the bed.

We put my son's on the wall as a decoration. The other downside is that when we went to the toddler bed, it was not even big enough for the bed to be made with it.
