too much milk! - New Moms

I now have too much milk

She has only been snacking today so she isnt taken enough to give me relief but wow are my boobs hard and full

I'm scared if i pump, i'll just keep getting TOO MUCH

If you do pump, you will continue to make more than you need, but that's not always a bad thing. I loved that I made more milk than I needed, as it gave me the opportunity to build up a good milk stash.

I honestly have no idea if i would ever use the breastmilk if i did build a stash! I guess its something to think about though!

i would build up alittle stach just incase you stop producing or if something happens down the road and you can not feed her for a reason... or if you want to go out with you so without her so who ever is watching her would have food to feed her.

Haha I make SO much milk. Paul eats on one side for 5 minutes and he is done. Take a hot shower if they hurt and drain a lil out. Or pump and save some for potential later use.

I am determined on producing more milk so I'm trying to pump more often.
Better to have some saved just in case than to need it and not have it.
