do not listen to this doctor- 15 pounds is good. a little light but not unhealthy.
keep doing what your doing, do not feed him on demand -- bad eating habits will ensue.

as long as he is growing on a even curve do not worry about it-

DD weighed 17 lbs for a whole yr- one Dr tried to classify her as failure to thrive, I found another doctor who had me weigh all her food before she ate and after and keep a food journal-
the diagnosis- DD was just petite- she did eat like a horse!!

so do not worry about it and do not try to pack on the pounds!!!

wow I'm glad I posted this! The dr also refused to give me anything for his eczema. He said that if he was getting more formula that his skin would get better.

Yeah my girls are 18 months and only weigh 20lbs. Your doctor seems like a quack. Get a new one. I can't believe he wouldn't give you something for his skin, that seems cruel.

Like everyone else said that is ridiculous! As long as he is still on his growth curve and developing fine than it doesn't matter! My neice is 3 months older than DS and yet she weighs 2lbs less and is a lot smaller- it looks like he is the older one. But she is still healthy, eats plenty and in developing fine. Some babies are just built small.

I would be finding a new Dr. I might even file a complaint. Are you going to a Dr. on base?
