    Mac started at about 6 months but she was a lot smaller than most. At 3 months she was only like 10-12 pounds..... so maybe earlier for normal babies.

    Mine started around 4 1/2 months - 5 months. At 5 months when he was definitely capable of holding it alone, we started him on a sippy and added handles to all his bottles.

    Bella doesn't take a bottle but she does try to hold the boob she started that a few weeks ago

    My youngest is almost 11 months old and wont hold it.. he also wont take a cup. My others werent this bad.

    As you can see, you never know when! lol.

    My son held it for two days at around 4-5 months. I still held him and all, didnt leave him alone to hold it, but for some reason he still stopped. He held a sippy cup by himself and walked all before he held his bottle on his own again, around 10 1/2 months. lol
