    He hates the heat

    Advertisements
But if he isnt swaddled at night he wakes up alllllll the time. It was really warm upstairs last night so I didnt want to swaddle him considering he was already warm in just his diaper. It was a disaster. I swear he was up almost every hour. He never ever does this. At like 3 AM I finally gave up and put him in our bed, and he STILL woke up every hour!!! I could only get him to sleep while I was nursing him because it made him feel secure but then I couldnt sleep much because I felt like I would roll over on him.

Any tips for this? Im sure this isnt the only time this will happen. He doesnt like being warm, he gets so fussy. I try to keep the upstairs cool but its always too warm still.

What do you do with your babies when its hot at night? He needs to be swaddled because he doesnt sleep without it. I am tired.

I was going to say get a little fan for his room, the noise of the fan will help him sleep too.. at least it does DD & DH

have you tried those sleep baggie outfits? they're like a zippable kind that covers at their feet but you can slip them inside of it in their diaper...so it's fairly cool. also, it's sleeveless. we did that with our son when he was a baby because he was such a heater...sweated all the time. it helped him feel secure but he also didn't sit in sweat from the receiving blankets, etc.

I have a couple in fleece, maybe I should get some in cotton. I hadnt even thought of that. Or maybe if I use the swaddle blanket but leave it undone on the legs. Who knows, tonight will be some serious trial and error.
