    Carseat install

Where did you take your carseat to make sure it was properly installed.

I'm not sure if I should go to the police or fire station to make sure.

I was always under the impression that you were supposed to go to the police and fire stations... if not you can always call them and see what they say?

Some people have told me fire station and some have told me police station...

I always thought it was the fire station so I'm unsure.

call them and ask...I think you go to the fire station, but it might be different for every town.

Anyone wanting a child’s car seat checked by a safety expert or help installing a child restraint system should call the Installation Safety Office at 239-2334 to make an appointment. Children younger than 4 are required to sit in car seats. Those 4 and older must wear sit in booster seats until they are 8 years old, 80 pounds or 4’9” tall. At that point, they can use a vehicle’s seat belt system.

In Great Lakes we made an appt with the police station. They had a safety inspector there and he installed it, uninstalled it, then had us install it n fron of him.

When we got new seats for the kids, I had a place here in CA come to the house. They are licensed and such but I needed them to come here so I paid

Both our fire station and police station will check your installation for you. I would just call and ask.
