    Smile 5 day appt!

Logan had his new baby follow up appt yesterday. He is doing great! He gained half a pound in 3 days and half an inch longer than he was when he was born. He is going to be a tubbers I think. He's already eating 4 ozs every 3 hrs at 6 days old. I can't keep up with him with my pumping. He was on soy formula on a strict schedule in the NICU because of his blood sugar being so low and they had to feed him so much so often to get it up. So, by the time my milk came in I wasn't making anywhere near enough to keep up. I can only get maybe 4 ozs pumping both breasts 3 times a day if Im lucky but Im giving him everything I can and supplementing the rest of the time. But, anyways he is doing great and is just perfect!

    glad he is doing well.

As far as pumping goes, I was in the same boat, it would take me a couple of days just to get enough for one bottle. But keep up with it, because now Im up to the point that I can get about a bottle and a half in a day

You are doing awesome. I think its normal. Some times I could only get like an ounce and other times I got 6 oz. I dunno. lol As long as he is doing well its fine!

glad he is doing so well.

Are you pumping only or is he nursing as well? If he is nursing as well, you can try to nurse on one breast and pump the other (you will usually get more that way)

I am pumping exclusively(BFing didn't work out too well for us I felt more comfy pumping and he was eating like every 10 mins) Maybe I need to pump more often to get my supply up? Its just my breasts aren't full feeling very often. I only got 2.5 oz between them both earlier.
