How much formula should a 6 month old be eating?

Matt's been on solids for a few weeks and will be 6 months in about a week. He's been cutting back on how much formula he'll eat though. Here's his schedule:

    7 am: 6 oz bottle
    10:30: 5 oz bottle, stage 1 fruit
2 pm: 5 oz bottle, 2 formula scoops of cereal mixed with formula
    5:30: 5 oz bottle, stage 1 veggie
    8: 6 oz bottle

so that's about 27 oz of formula a day. Is that enough since he's on solids too?

Roughly 28 - 36 ozs. So he's pretty much there. Maybe offer another couple of ozs over the bottles (like an extra ounce here and there in a couple of them). You've got him pretty much on track though

that's a good idea. I'll try and see if he'll take to it.

Usually about 32 oz a day. You are giving him solids, so he's probably getting full. About 4 8oz bottles a day is "norm".
