so the heated discussion right now is cio

shawn is only 3 weeks old and i refuse to let him go longer than 2 mins on crying just to make sure it is a false alarm hubs on the other hand with everyone else in the family says let him cry it out

i won't do it cause he is ONLY 3 WEEKS OLD he isn't crying to be a pill he is crying cause he needs something

so am i correct or not?

this vacation we are on has totally screwed up any kind of schedule we were begining i can't wait to get back home and get us back to normal again

I am very much in favor of CIO when they are older, but there's absolutely no way I would let my 3 week old CIO. I let John Duncan cry for a little while if it's a fussy cry that he does sometimes when he's falling asleep, but I never go longer than a minute or two. DH would let him go longer, but if I'm there I swoop to his rescue, lol. We did it with DS1 at about 4-5 months, and we won't do it with DS2 until then either. Stick to your guns, Momma!
