They rank babies/children according to their growth against an "average"... Every ped we've ever had has told us what percentile Cam's in.. I've also been allowed to see her growth curve plotted out on the chart in her medical record.

Well, I'm what I am and I'm what I'm not
and I'm sure happy with what Iíve got
I live to love and laugh alot
    and thatís all I need

Bailey is in the 95th percentile for height and weight. It means that she is taller and weighs more then 95 percent of other kids her age.

As long as she stays on her curve it really doesn't matter.

Clayton is 25th and Michal was always 10th

i never really understood percentile until i got older!

all my life i was 10th and 15th.. ellie is 50th for weight and 25th for height but it makes sense because df and i arent very tall. i bet the weight will go down she hasnt gained much since her 2 month appt

edit: crazy! i just did the online one and i know the dr is the only accurate number i can get but it said she was 24th for weight and less than third for height! shes real short

it is just how baby compares with other babies of the same age. Dawson was in the 90's for height but only in the 25% for weight.
