    Peanut has cradle cap

The mystery is solved. It's cradle cap. The doc said to use head and shoulders and a good moisturizer EVERY day or every other day.

She has gained 2 lbs (up to 7 lbs 5 oz today!) and 2 inches (20 inches long!). We graduated from preemie diapers to newborn diapers yesterday.

    Peanut!

I'll probably take some new pics tomorrow. We had quite a day today. We had our Hep B shot today and then we had to redo our hearing screening and then I gave her a bath with this new Aveeno baby wash. Peanut screamed bloody murder. Apparently she doesn't like the body wash but she likes the lotion. I was using the baby oil and the doctor said it was just putting a gloss on her and not really moisturizing her. I was like "for real?"

I am not sure if it was the baby shampoo or if the water had gotten too cold by the time we got to the shampoo. I used the brush on her head this afternoon and relotioned her again and she was fine.

Oh and we started "tummy time". She likes it in small doses.

DS had really stubborn cradle cap. We tried everything; all the cradle cap products, baby oil, head and shoulders. Nothing worked until I started putting vaseline on his head at bed time and giving him a bath in the morning. So if the H&S doesn't work, try just normal vaseline.

when DS had cradle cap, we use to rub baby oil with a cotton ball on his head to get it out and then give him a bath. After the bath, we dry his head and then rub more oil on his head to help it..it work wonders.

All we ever used was a adult's soft tooth brush and soap. Came right off. You don't have to worry about brushing too hard and it worked for us.
